A brief on the Assignment:
The Assignment: ‘go tell pharaoh to let my people go’, first came to Michael Essien in 2002 in the place of series of prayers and committed kingdom service in church and school fellowship. Brother Michael after completing a ministerial training from Great Leadership and Ministerial Institute (GLAMI) was ordained as a pastor on the 9th of March 2008 by Reverend Paulson Halliday under whom he served as Pastor. The vision and call to ministry became clearer over the years and in 2009 during a worship session he felt Jesus embrace him and said to him, “go raise me a generation of disciplined Christians and set them free to worship me”.

In preparation for ministry Pastor
Essien has undergone a few Leadership, Ministerial and Pastoral training; he
has completed the three levels of Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), six
months at Dunamis School of Ministry (DUSOM) and 300 levels God’s House Growth
Academy, in addition to online teachings.
He has served in various leadership and
pastoral position right from Assemblies of God church where he got born again
as a teenager on April 14th, 1997, The Great Assembly Church,
Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), Nigeria Christian Corpers’ Fellowship
(NCCF) and God’s House of Refuge.
After series of encounters, experiences,
family considerations, spiritual exercises and years of contemplations Pastor
Michael in support of his wife Praise Modupe Essien and a strong faith in God yielded to the call for full time pastoral ministry as highlighted in the
vision and pattern received and stated below:
